Serving your family’s needs with heart-felt, positive support.

“All funereal services are celebrations of life;
to honor a life lived with a dignified farewell.”

— Nicole Hart

Pre-Need Planning

We can talk about your life and the transitional doorway that you are about to go through. We can arrange the plan for your departing words, story, wishes, and legacy. Through a collaborative process, we can craft your ceremony: location, eulogy, readings, music, media, rituals, aesthetics, and keepsakes that will be entirely your creation.

Funeral Service

A ceremony where the body of the decdent is present in a casket. This service can be and is often connected with the graveside committal. This highly customized service is designed to flow from beginning to end traditionally. A time to honor, celebrate the life of, say goodbye, offer support, inspiration, and reflection on the meaning of life and death.

Memorial

A ceremony where the body of the decedent in a casket is not present; however, an urn with the decedent’s ashes may be present. This highly customized ceremony is designed to flow from beginning to end, usually with an emphasis on life review and community sharing. A time to honor, celebrate the life of, say goodbye, offer support, inspiration, and reflection on the meaning of life and death. This could occur immediately after death, weeks, months, or on a death anniversary.

Graveside Committal

This service is created for the final disposition of the decedent’s body. The disposition ceremony is generally brief at the graveside or mausoleum. This ceremony will be customized to be a fluid extension of the funeral service or designed as a stand-alone service.

Scattering Ceremony

Often a simple and brief ceremony, scattering, casting or placing of the decedents ashes or cremains is a meaningful farewell. Public or private and in a location of special significance. However, there are laws and regulations on where you can scatter ashes that can be discussed..

Tree Planting Dedication

A ceremony to plant a living tribute in a special place. Consider a bio urn and planting system designed to grow a beautiful, enduring memory tree, plant, or flowers with cremated remains.

Living Wake / Funeral

This is a goodbye life celebration before a death occurs. The reason for holding a living funeral is typically for a person who is elderly or terminally ill, with knowledge that their death is approaching. He or she feels that, with the knowledge of their death impending, they would prefer to host a living funeral designed to their exact wishes in order to have an opportunity to say goodbye to those they love before they pass.

Labyrinth Ceremony

With the setting of a local labyrinth, a unique memorial walk for the decedent can be very meaningful. Labyrinth walking embraces meditation and contemplative prayer that can be tailored to your loved one’s celebration of life. Planning and scheduling generally require a minimum of 3-4 weeks.

Pet Euthanasia Blessing / Ceremony

Whether you choose burial or cremation for your pet’s final disposition, your approach to memorialization can be true to your religious views or environmental concerns. This can be custom-designed as simple as saying a few words or as elaborate as a human funeral. What’s right for you will depend on personal preference.

Eulogy Writing Service

This service is to assist with your eulogy writing needs while you grieve. My work is absolutely, 100% original and customized to you and the decedent. There is tremendous value given the amount of time and effort that goes into writing with heart and dedication put into the eulogy composed or revised. Two services offered: custom eulogy ghost writing and intensive review/revision of the eulogy that you have written. The cost is based on the expediency with which you require them.

Community Memorial

Offering ceremony design and delivery of a memorial or commemorative nature to the community. Perhaps a significant death in the community or Veterans, Mother’s Day, or Father’s Day, for example.

Areas of Specialization

  • End of Physical Life

We can talk about your life and the transitional doorway that you are about to go through. We can arrange the plan for your departing words, story, wishes, legacy. Through a collaborative process, we can craft your ceremony: location, eulogy, readings, music, media, rituals, aesthetics and keepsakes that will be entirely your creation. You, with my aid, can design a funeral, graveside committal, memorial and/or ash scattering. Perhaps a living funeral is your style in that you desire to have your “funeral” before you pass on, in order to express in person –good bye, peace out, cheerio, until later…a true celebration of life! I will gently guide you and go at your pace. Most often clients in this mindset are terminally ill and sometimes have declared a “decision to die”. I welcome working with your end-of-life doula, if one is present. This farewell planning can be a fulfilling and anxiety-reducing process as part of your preparation for death transition offering closure on many levels.

  • Pregnancy & Infant Loss

I offer a compassionate companioning from the first moment that you discover a need to create meaningful action through ritual or ceremony within the hours, days or months of the loss of your baby due to miscarriage or perinatal death. My role is to help you and your family design a service, whether publicly or privately, to honor, grieve and celebrate the beloved short life gone too soon. Please note, any aged child’s death is one in which I can be there for you. Together, we can discover the appropriate funereal expression needed. With as little or as much input and guidance from me, I can conduct and hold the sacred space for your baby’s very special service. Perhaps significant time has passed since the loss of your baby and you are now ready. No time is too short or too long in your path of coping with such a tender loss.
