FAQs
What is a complimentary consultation?
We set up a mutually agreeable time to meet on a phone call or virtually through Google Meet or Zoom. This initial meeting is about 20 minutes. Here is where I can answer any questions that you may have, explain the process of creating a ceremony for you, and give you an idea of the cost. This is the first step to determine if you would like to move forward. There is no fee for this consultation and absolutely no obligation to book my services.
What is the cost for a service or ceremony?
The fee for my service to meet with you, craft the ceremony,
and officiate on the day of the event varies according to location, complexity, and immediacy. I can give you a no-obligation estimate on the total cost before you decide to contract my service.
Do you work with local venues?
Yes, absolutely. In fact, I work to create a smooth collaboration with the venue where you plan to hold your ceremony.
What does it mean that you are an independent celebrant?
That means I am self-employed and not tied specifically to any venue or employer. I can work directly with you, or I may be recommended to you by local venues that subcontract my service.
Can you provide a service in an unusual place or setting?
Generally, yes. Within my range of travel, I am happy to create a ceremony for an alternative setting such as: a local park or garden, labyrinth, private residence, waterside, woods, or any other non-traditional place. The ordinances and rules would have to be in agreement to hold a ceremony.
Do you require a deposit?
Generally, for any service booked for more than two weeks from the initial agreement for services, I ask for a small percentage in order to hold the date. Cancellation of a service one week or less prior to the service results in a forfeiture of the deposit.
