From a young age, I felt drawn to the sacred thresholds of life — the moments when we pause, reflect, and mark a transition. While much of my journey has centered on end-of-life care, my true calling is to honor all passages: birth, marriage, partnership, home, and death. Each is a doorway, each a chapter in the cycle of living.
My work as a Life-Cycle Celebrant is not bound by a single faith tradition. Instead, it flows from empathy, service, authenticity, respect, and a belief in the healing power of ceremony and the sacredness of nature. I walk beside people who may not identify with organized religion, yet still long for ritual, beauty, and meaning. Whether it is a wedding or handfasting, a baby naming, a new home blessing, or a farewell at the end of life — I help create experiences that are personal, heartfelt, and inspired by the natural beauty surrounding us.
I love learning about each person’s journey and finding the words, symbols, and rituals that express their story. Ceremony can be deeply healing, reminding us of our connection to one another and to the natural cycles of life. And, my care doesn’t end with humans as all animals are deserving of kindness and compassion. I am honored to hold space and issue a blessing for a dear non-human family member.
Before becoming a Celebrant, I earned a Bachelor of Fine Art from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania and worked for about 25 years as a professional graphic designer. My artistic background continues to shape my work today, allowing me to craft ceremonies with imagination and sensitivity. I am also a painter, often exploring the gritty beauty of life cycles and the divine transcendence within them.
I hold a Life-Cycle Celebrant® certification, and I am currently studying with Dr. Sarah Kerr, founder of The Centre for Sacred Deathcare, Michelle Saya, astrologer and energetics guide, and Kate Murphy, an ordained High Priestess and ceremonialist. I also volunteer locally with Hospice & Community Care of Lancaster and have a connection with The Labyrinth Society.
For me, ceremony is about honoring the sacred and significant rites of passage that mark profound transitions—offering spaces of healing, connection, and inspiration for each and every one of us.
